In his portrayal of a woman torn between her deepest desires and the pressures of society, Britten created a Gothic anti-heroine for the 20th century.Now New Opera Singapore presents a contemporary take on this masterpiece in its Singapore premiere, directed by Stefanos Rassios and featuring a cast of some of Singapore’s finest young singers and the New Opera Singapore Orchestra, led by music director Chan Wei Shing.
